Just as we’re knee-deep into cold & flu season, we hear the news of something SO terrifying, it actually makes me fear for my next sneeze attack. Because they happen, a lot, without warning.
This is crazy. So a British guy actually ruptured his throat by holding one in. DON’T.EVER.DO.THIS. The 34-year old was doing the typical pinching of the nose, clamping his mouth shut. We’ve all been there. Trying to be polite, but it isn’t worth it. Let it go! Doctors discovered that the pressure from his sneeze ripped through the soft tissue in his throat & did some serious damage. A sneeze can pack a punch that can cause the same kind of trauma as a bad hit or a power punch to the throat. They travel at 150 miles per hour. Just consider that for a moment. Would you step in front of anything moving even half that fast? Didn’t think so. Beware of the Sneeze. Sometimes it’s a monster.
