Lethbridge Seniors Invited To Participate In City-To-City Exchange
Lethbridge: Lethbridge seniors are being offered a unique city exchange opportunity.
Saint-Laurent, Quebec and Lethbridge participate in a yearly City-to-City
twinning. 6 residents aged 55 and over will be chosen to host a senior from
Saint Laurent for the week of June 26th-July 3rd . Then from August 7th-14th, the Lethbridge senior will
stay in the Quebec City.
"A lot of times we have impressions of what Quebec is like and sometimes those
impressions are absolutely incorrect. By the same token, Easterners have wrong
impressions of the West. If you look over the years, we're now getting close to
50 years doing it, we've had literally hundreds of people that have had the
opportunity to experience Alberta culture and Quebec culture and they're able to
speak about their great experience." says Mayor Rajko Dodi.
To apply for the exchange, visit Kristen Schindel at City Hall, give her a call at 403-329-7327, or send her an email at firstname.lastname@example.org by April 12th.
Candidates will be interviewed before final 6 participants are chosen.
