New President Officially Installed At Lethbridge College

LETHBRIDGE:  The 8th President and CEO of Lethbridge College assumed her role on February 4th but, was not officially installed until an ceremony on Thursday afternoon.

The robing event included an oath of office and presentation of a medallion created specifically for Dr. Paula Burns. Lethbridge College is the country's first public community college and took advantage of the opportunity to feature its relationship with the city and the regional First Nations community.

Dr. Burns spent more than 10 years in post secondary leadership positions and her last position was Provost and Vice President Academics at NAIT in Edmonton.

Former College President, Dr. Tracy Edwards announced her resignation last April. A seven month international search then began to find her replacement. In mid November of 2012, it was announced that Dr. Burns had been selected to fill the position.
