Wind Warnings For Some Areas of South-West Alberta
LETHBRIDGE: Environment Canada has continued a Wind Warning for the area from the Crowsnsest Pass down to Pincher Creek and Waterton.
Also impacted, is the region from Claresholm north to High River and Okotoks.
These area will experience Westerly wind gusts to 100-kmph through Saturday evening, before the wind drops over-night. A traveler just north of Claresholm around 3:30, reported seeing metal portions of a farm building roof blow across the highway.
While the Lethrbidge area was not placed under a Wind Warning, the region can expect westerly gusts to 90-kmph until the over-night period. These gusts are responsible for blowing dust which has created limited visibility on some highways in the area.
Wind in the Lethbridge area is expected to pick up again Sunday and reach 70-kmph by the afternoon.
