Accused in Child Prostitution Case Goes to Trial

LETHBRIDGE: A trial date has been set for one of the men charged after a prostitution case involving a 13-year old girl came to light earlier this year.

In August of 2012 a 31-year old male offered the girl a ride home and she accepted. They went to an undisclosed location where the male sexually assaulted the girl.

The incident was uncovered when Regional Police launched an investigation and charged two other men back in February, after learning that a 13-year old girl was "procured for the purpose of prostitution" and sexually assaulted.

Friday morning in Lethbridge court Casey Lane Sweet Grass entered a plea of not guilty and had a trial date set for October 28th and 29th.
