SLP Skate Park One Step Closer To Reality

LETHBRIDGE - The new skate park near Henderson Lake is getting closer to reality.

Signage has gone up indicating the location of the SLP Skate Park at the corner of Parkside Drive and Mayor Magrath Drive South.

President of the Lethbridge Skateboard Association Sam Richards says they have about $440,000 in hand for the $600,000 project, with a funding announcement expected later in the week from the provincial government.

The group is also hosting the 2nd annual Skate of the Art fundraiser this Friday at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery at 7pm.
