Coalhurst: Due to rapid growth in the last year, the town of Coalhurst will be conducting a Census.
Workers will be going door-to-door, starting Tuesday, May 21st, asking the number of people residing in each residence. The information collected will be kept confidential and is used to allow the town an increase in funds available from the province. It will also help the Town and related agencies and organizations plan for the future.
Names will not be asked for and all responses are protected under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. All Census Workers will be wearing official identification.
The census is being taken under the authority of the Municipal Government Act and is expected to be completed by June 30th.
