Bon Odori Japanese Dance Festival Comes To Lethbridge

Lethbridge: The tenth annual Buddihist folk dance, Bon Odori takes place July 20th, at Galt Gardens.

The occasion will feature traditional Japanese dress, music, dancing, and taiko drumming. Japanese style hot dogs and traditional sno-cones (kori) will be served. As well, several activities and crafts are planned for children.

Volunteers from Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden will have a sales table. Craft sales will benefit Women's World Buddhist Conference to be held in Calgary in 2015. The Okinawa Cultural Society will also be selling snacks.

Everyone in attendance is invited to join the circle of dancers. The event kicks-off at 6 PM.
