Waterton Lakes National Park Celebrates Park Day

 
 

Waterton Lakes National Park: Waterton Lakes National Park is encouraging families to celebrate Parks Day with them on July 20th.

 

Stargazing will take place on the night of the 20th, at Cameron Bay. Volunteer astronomers from Lethbridge and Calgary will provide guided tours through the night sky. Star-gazers are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair, warm clothes, binoculars or a spotting scopes.

 

The Heritage Centre will also feature a special exhibit on July 20th. It will showcase the work of Walter B. Foster, a stone mason, log builder, and outdoors man whose work can be seen in some of the building in Waterton.

 

Families can also participate in a geocaching challenge, pick up a copy of the Xplorers activity booik, take guided hike or watch the theatre program, all free of cost with park entry fee.
