LETHBRIDGE:    Few details have been released but, Regional Police continue to investigate a suspicious package incident.

Just before 10:00 Thursday morning, police were called to the 1200 block of 2nd Avenue South, to deal with the report of a suspicious package left at a business.

The business and neighbouring buildings were evacuated as a safety precaution. Roadblocks were also set up for several blocks around the area.

Just after 3:00, members of the Explosive Disposal Unit destroyed the package, which did not contain any explosive substances. Streets in area were re-opened by 4:30.
