Trust Fund Established For Coaldale Family Involved In Fatal Collision

LETHBRIDGE: The community is rallying behind a Coaldale family, still struggling with the aftermath of a collision December 1st near Fernie.

The van the Altvater family was driving on Highway 3 lost control and went off the road into the Elk River. A passing motorist managed to pull the family of five out, but attempts to save the mother were unsuccessful.

The father and two of the children are now recovering, however the youngest child, who is only four years old, remains in critical condition.

A trust fund for the family has been set up at all Lethbridge Royal Banks under the name Norbert Altvater. You can also donate at Jennie Emery School in Coaldale.
