Cory Monteith died from a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol ... this according to Canadian authorities. The British Columbia Coroners Service says an autopsy and toxicological analysis show that the 31-year-old "Glee" star died from a "mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.". The cast of "Glee" -- along with several producers -- knew Cory Monteith was battling a heroin addiction earlier this year and were the catalyst in his decision to go back to rehab, the group sat down with Cory and had an "open conversation" with the actor -- stressing how much they cared about him and wanted him to get help. Cory voluntarily checked into rehab at the end of March for a 30 day stint ... but despite his efforts, he couldn't defeat his demons, and last week, he died from a lethal mixture of heroin and alcohol.  He was 31

Taylor Swift recently began writing for the follow up to her Red CD, and while she could probably make a stellar album with what she has so far, she likes to take her time and put some distance between projects. Taylor said it takes a while to get out of the mode of the previous album's sound and themes to discover something fresh. "I took two years to make this album and the first year was me writing and getting my thoughts together and going into the studio and creating demos. At the end of that year, I handed in all these songs to my label and my label said, 'You're done. Congratulations. This is the record.' I thought that I was just showing them what I'd written so far, but they thought, 'This is the finished album -- awesome.' The songs that I turned in were good, but I didn't think they were different enough. One of my big fears is to end up making music that sounds the same every time, and being predictable, and having people go, 'Oh, I guess Taylor's putting out another record again. I guess we'll know what that's gonna be.'"

Selena Gomez may be young, but she has a full proof plan for her future. The singer opened up to Ryan Seacrest on  E! Gomez revealed that she thinks it's time [to get her own place] but she doesn't ever want to be forceful saying that she made enough to get her own house. She said, ". . . I just love being with my family and I love knowing that they're there. But yeah, I think it's probably time for me to get my own house." I would stay at home as long as I could… would still be there if I could

Demi Lovato has admitted that she isn't the pretty boy type. When she revealed her obsession with Kelly Clarkson to BuzzFeed, she also said that she isn't attracted to Ryan Gosling or Channing Tatum. Demi said, "I'm not particularly in love with either one [Ryan Gosling or Channing Tatum]. To me they're still kind of pretty boys. I just don't think they're just the most attractive men in the world."

The boys of One Direction are set to release their new single, "Best Song Ever" on July 22nd. However, the Disney Channel will unveil the video to the single during Teen Beach Movie -- which is set to air on July 19th at 8 p.m.
