Rolling Stone magazine has ignited a firestorm of controversy after deciding to use Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on the front cover of its latest issue. The image shows a close-up of Tsarnaev’s face, with his hair shaggy, wearing a T-shirt. The headline reads: “The Bomber: How a popular, promising student was failed by his family, fell into radical Islam and became a monster.” Angry readers took to Rolling Stone’s Facebook page to express their outrage at the cover. Here is just a small sample of some of the comments.

“Maybe you guys should be a class act and take that scumbag terrorist murderer of the Boston Marathon off your August cover.”

“What a punch to the gut of every Bostonian. Absolutely unbelievable.”

"Jeff Bauman, who lost both legs, should be on cover"

Wednesday afternoon, Rolling Stone posted a rebuttal on its website: "The cover story we are publishing this week falls within the traditions of journalism and Rolling Stone's long-standing commitment to serious and thoughtful coverage of the most important political and cultural issues of our day."

A track off of Lady Gaga's new album ARTPOP -- which has been heavily kept under wraps, has leaked. According to BuzzFeed, a snippet of what is said to be the singer's upcoming single -- "Burqa" has gone viral.

Is Ed Sheeran a long-term relationship kind of guy? The British singer revealed in a radio interview that he just got out of semi-lengthy relationship, believe it or not. He admitted that he has dated some singers before but no one really know about his love life and that people don't always guess right, but sometimes they do. He said, "I was in a relationship for 9 months recently that no one had a clue about. It's over now so we can talk about it."Although the singer said that she wasn't a public figure, he didn't reveal any other details about her.

 

 

The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards nominees have been announced -- and Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are neck-and-neck with the most nods. They have received six nominations each -- JT snagged nods for Best Male Video, Best Pop Video and Best Editing for "Mirrors," also Best Collaboration and Best Direction for "Suit & Tie" with Jay-Z. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are up for "Video of The Year" for "Thrift Shop," they scored four nods, including Best Hip Hop video for "Can't Hold Us," and Best Video With A Social Message for "Same Love."

Britney Spears is ready to take her talents to Vegas! According to RadarOnline, the singer is looking to become a Sin City headliner while she resides at her new living quarters at Planet Hollywood. The site said that Brit went before the judge handling her conservatorship -- Judge Reva Goetz on Monday (July 15th) and was questioned about the deal with Ceasars Entertainment.A source told the site that during the singer's 45-minute meeting with the judge, she expressed how excited she was to be performing in Vegas. The source said, "Britney assured Goetz she could handle the stress and felt comfortable with the performance schedule. Britney won't be moving to Las Vegas permanently -- she'll perform for several weeks in a row and then have time off. Rehearsals are already underway for the gigs and Britney is heavily involved in the choreography."

Will Jay-Z and Beyonce finally hit the road together? When asked in a radio interview, Jay-Z said about the notion, "It's always floating out there, it's floating out there. It has to be the real thing and it's slowly making sense, more sense every day, every day it's making more sense - as far as a tour, not an album."
