Miley Cyrus has revealed that she and Britney Spears have bonded over being victims of constant media attention and scrutiny. Miley told the Huffington Post U.K., "Everyone goes through a time in their life where they don't want their picture taken every day." The singer went on to explain her and Britney's similarities when dealing with the media. Miley said, "She just never had that time where she could say, 'I'm going through something right now and need to shut down.' I also don't have that, so it's good to have that one person in my life who gets it." Miley also admitted that she and Britney can relate when it comes to their personal lives overshadowing their music and professional careers. She continued, "I just think it's never blaming you or making you feel like, 'You've got all this going for you,' it's like

Selena Gomez received a great late birthday present from her fans. The singer has debuted at number one on The Billboard 200 chart with her fourth album, Stars Dance. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album sold 97,000 units and knocked Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail from the top spot on the chart. According to Billboard, Selena is the youngest artist to claim the number one spot since Taylor Swift back in 2010. Her lead track off of the album was also a big hit. "Come & Get It" landed at the number six spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and number two on the Pop Songs airplay chart.

Lady Gaga held an impromptu question and answer session on Twitter yesterday (July 31st). Gaga revealed that the music video for "Applause" is set to be released on August 19th, along with the actual track. The video was filmed in L.A. last week by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin -- who also did the single artwork for the track. The singer also announced that the ARTPOP app that is set to accompany the album will be free and available worldwide for Andriod, GooglePlay and it will also be available in the iTunes App Store. Gaga tweeted, "You can purchase the music through the ARTPOP app once it's downloaded. Or you can purchase the album at the music store + download the free separately at the app store." She then described the app as an "interactive jewel case" and confirmed that fans will be able to download the "app placeholder" when "Applause" is released in August.

 

BRUNO MARS' 'TREASURE' GETS REMIXED: Bruno Mars' single "Treasure" has been remixed by music producer Sharam -- who is one half of Deep Dish. According to Rolling Stone, Sharam said, "'Treasure' is an incredibly beautiful song. I was immediately drawn to it and thought I could reinterpret with an old school house vibe with a bit of modern twist. The response in my dance floors has been amazing and I'm very excited for everyone to hear this remix -- particularly since it's the first remix I've wanted to do in over two years."

USHER AND CEE-LO GREEN'S EXES TO BE FEATURED ON 'HOLLYWOOD EXES?': Reports say that Usher and Cee-Lo's ex-wives Tameka Foster and Christina Johnson are in talks to appear on VH1's Hollywood Exes: Atlanta. According to Star Magazine, Usher and Cee-Lo are not too happy about the idea. A source said that Cee-Lo has joked that his ex ". . . may spill some of his dirty secrets." The source added that Usher and Tameka "don't get along, and he knows she'll be happy to talk about his personal life so that she can become the star of the show." The source added, "Usher's concerned because she's still bitter. Tameka is having financial problems and feels like this could be her meal ticket." No word on when the reality show will begin taping.

Kanye West and Kim K have reportedly sent Prince William and Kate Middleton a gift for their first born, Prince George. According to The Sun, Kanye and Kim sent the couple clothes for the newborn prince that reflected Kanye's style. The site reported,"They sent William and Kate mini versions of Kanye's [clothing], including skinny jeans and hoodies." And although reports have said that it's unknown how well the royal couple received the gift, a source revealed that the royal baby will wear the items depending on if Cambridges want to dress him in it.

 Emmy producer Ken Ehrlich revealed to Deadline that they are planning "something that reflects an homage" to Glee star Cory Monteith. Ken said, "what the extent of that is, or how we're going to approach it...well, it's too early to tell." The Emmys will air on CBS on September 22nd.
