Miley Cyrus won't let all of the negative press from her VMA performance stop her from being the girl she wants to be. Less than 24 hours after her headline-grabbing number, the 20-year-old tweeted a couple of photos of herself scantily clad in similar positions to those that got her so much attention on Sunday night (August 25th.) Miley was helping promote her collaboration with Mike Will Made It's new song "23" which also features Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J.

Justin Bieber reportedly skipped Sunday's (August 25th) VMAs to spend some time with his ex Jacque Pyles whom he dated briefly in 2009. The pair reportedly enjoyed a romantic dinner together which prompted him to tweet, "Great dinner. Life is beautiful." Meanwhile in NYC, Selena Gomez was accepting her first VMA moonman ever for Best Pop Video for her hit single "Come and Get It."

Miley Cyrus' VMA performance didn't sit well with The Parent Television Council. In fact, the PTC has issued a statement in response to the award show. Dan Isett, the PTC Director of Public Policy said, "MTV has once again succeeded in marketing sexually charged messages to young children using former child stars and condom commercials -- while falsely rating this program as appropriate for kids as young as 14. This is unacceptable."

He continued, "This much is absolutely clear: MTV marketed adults-only material to children while falsely manipulating the content rating to make parents think the content was safe for their children. MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate 'twerking' in a nude-colored bikini. How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14-year-olds?" Isett also addressed Lady Gaga's final wardrobe change at the award show. He said, "How is it appropriate for children to watch Lady Gaga strip down to a bikini in the opening act?

Kelly Clarkson has described the performers at the 2013 MTV VMAs as "pitchy strippers." The singer made the comment on Twitter yesterday (August 26th). She wrote, "Just saw a couple performances from the VMA's last night. 2 words.... #pitchystrippers." After a fan told her to nice, Kelly responded, "@sheybug74 haha that WAS me being nice!"

Did Taylor Swift launch an f-bomb at her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles? While One Direction took the stage to present the moon man for the VMAs Best Pop Video, the cameraman zoomed in on Taylor. Reports say that singer mouthed to her best friend -- Selena Gomez, "Shut the f*ck up." According to TMZ, some people have said that Taylor wasn't cursing. Those fans have claimed that she said, "Sorry for my arm."

After an eventful evening at the 2013 MTV VMAs, Justin Timberlake posted a video on his Youtube channel teasing the making of his upcoming album. JT took to his website to post an open letter to his fans that introduced the video. He wrote, "The last time I wrote you an open letter, it was in January and I promised that it would be a 'Big 2013.' Since then, from The Grammys to the release of the first part of The 20/20 Experience to the crowd's response at the VMAs, it's been a wild ride. I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have." JT continued, "This letter is to tell you that we're not done . . . Not even close. On Sept 30th, the second half of The 20/20 Experience, The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2, comes out. Since all these songs were written together over a year ago, it's been so hard to wait this long to release them. I can't wait for all of you to hear The 20/20 Experience in full."
