'N Sync's Lance Bass has shared his two cents on Miley Cyrus' VMA performance. In a satellite radio interview, Lance revealed that he was uncomfortable with the performance since his young nieces and nephews were in the audience. He explained, "I didn't know I had to warn them that their little Hannah Montana was going to be naked and humping a finger. I think it's her thing. I think she shocked a lot of her younger fans, especially the parents, who might not be so happy with her thing, but she's just being Miley." Lance also expressed that Miley isn't the only artist that is pushing the envelope. He said, "I mean it is a big deal. Unfortunately I think young artists, especially coming from a Disney background, especially want to change that image . . . Lady Gaga does it. Everyone is like, 'What can I

TMZ has reported that a rep for Teddy Bear Fund -- an org dedicated to giving out stuffed animals at abuse shelters said, "Miley made a poor choice to use a universally loved children's teddy bear in an offensive way. There is always good art and bad art -- unfortunately . . . this was bad art."

In other news, Miley's friends have called Kelly Clarkson "fat" and bitter" because of her comment on the controversial MTV VMA performances. As previously reported, Kelly described the performers at the event as "pitchy strippers." Industry blogger Dominic Riccitello responded to Kelly's comment and said, "Kelly Clarkson called Miley a pitchy stripper. Do you think she's mad because her past few singles flopped and wasn't asked to perform?"Miley's friend, Cheyne Thomas chimed in and said, "And she's fat and 30 . . . the reasons Kelly Clarkson is bitter could really go on for day[s]... Not 'starting a battle' it's not that serious.. Was just being a sarcastic as*hole as usual .. I'm really not to be taken seriously." Meanwhile, in a radio interview, Cyndi Lauper expressed her opinion on Miley's performance. She said, "That was girl gone wild. So sad, so sad. She's in a song that literally says that the blurred lines allowed you to -- when a woman says no, she means yes -- and that's frightful because that's date rape. And there she is, a young twenty something trying to prove she can hang with the big boys and girls, you know, basically simulating a Girl Gone Wild video onstage." She added, "And I just felt like that was so beneath her and raunchy, really raunchy. It wasn't even art."

Selena Gomez has admitted that she wants to toughen up her image. The singer told Hollywood Life that in order to change her image she has to do the unexpected. She explained, "I have to do things that people don't expect me to do. I have to surprise people instead of being a part of the next teen comedy because I have done that." On if she will ever take the director's role in the future, Selena said, "Well, I have to be much better at what I do before I can direct other people. I would love that, and Ethan Hawke has given me some great advice about that, so I would, but it would have to be when I perfect a little more of the art that I do. Then maybe I would be a little more daring!"
