Jessica Simpson is ready to get back in the studio. A source explained to Radar Online that Jessica's love for singing is the reason she actually pursued music. The source said, "Singing is why she got into the entertainment business and something she will never stop doing. She is excited to start recording songs that she wants to record. At this point in her career, she no longer has to worry about singing songs a record label or dad tells her to record." The source added, "She can sing whatever makes her happy, and that is exactly what she intends to do."

 

Ed Sheeran has cleared up the rumors that Taylor Swift launched an F-bomb at her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles -- of One Direction at the VMAs last month. In an interview, Ed explained that Taylor cursed because Selena Gomez told her that

 

Miley Cyrus was going to win the award for Best Pop Video -- which was presented by 1D.  As previously reported, Taylor apparently mouthed "Shut the fu*k up" to Selena during the award show. Some of her fans claimed that she said, "Sorry for my arm." However, Ed confirmed that Taylor actually said, "Shut the f*ck up."

 

Celine Dion has unveiled the release date for her forthcoming album, Loved Me Back To Life. According to USA Today, Celine's new record is set to hit stores on November 5th. The site has also reported that Ne-Yo, Stevie Wonder and Sia are featured on the album.

 

Jennifer Lopez is set to appear on the October issue of Cosmopolitan. In the mag, J.Lo admitted that she hasn't been the most confident in her singing abilities. She explained, "The biggest insecurity I had was my singing. Even though I had sold 70 million records, there was this feeling like, 'I'm not good at this.' And while I was married to Marc [Anthony], he helped me get over it." She continued, "He kept telling me, 'You're the only one holding yourself back from reaching your full potential as a singer. You have to let go.'" J.Lo added, "I was always so insecure and just kind of going along. Then I grew, little by little, and realized, Wait a minute, this is not a fluke. I'm not a mistake -- I work my ass off. And I know what I'm doing."

 

J.LO SPEAKS OUT ON 'IDOL' RETURN : The singer has expressed that she isn't returning to American Idol for the money. Yesterday (September 3rd), reports surfaced that Fox confirmed that she would be joining the judging panel. J.Lo explained to Ryan Seacrest that she did not agree to return to the show for financial reasons. She said, "When things are meant to be, they kind of just find a way back into your life. I just feel like this is something that I just want to do. It's not that I had to do it." She continued, "I know everybody likes to make a big deal about money and stuff like that, but for me it's not about that stuff. I don't have to do it for those reasons. I do it because I love it -- it's in my heart and it's something that I enjoy doing. So I'm excited about this year, I'm really excited. J.Lo also revealed that she is excited to share her knowledge of the music business with the Idol contestants. She said, "You know all this stuff from being in the business for so many years -- it's like, 'What do you do with that knowledge?' It's so great to be able to mentor and watch these new people come up and want to fulfill their dream."

 

 

Miley Cyrus has admitted that she was aware that her VMA performance with Robin Thicke was going to "make history." In a MTV documentary, Miley said, "Me and Robin [Thicke] the whole time said, 'You know we're about to make history right now.'" She continued, "What's amazing is I think now . . . people are still talking about it. They're over-thinking it. You're thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn't even think about it 'cause that's just me." Miley also revealed that she isn't concerned about the negative reactions to the performance. She said, "I don't pay attention to the negative because I've seen this play out so many times. How many times have we seen this play out in pop music?" She added, "Madonna's done it. Britney's done it. Every VMAs performance, that's what you're looking for -- you're wanting to make history."
