has denied rumors that she and Rihanna have
recorded a track together. The two were rumored to have worked together on a
track from Gaga's new album, ARTPOP. And as previously reported, RiRi
teased fans telling them that she had recorded a "monster" collab. However,
during a radio interview, Gaga said, "Well, no, that's not true. But, I
mean, it's a rumor, I guess. It's a good rumor. I like Rihanna, so, it's just
has revealed that she never actually hated Madonna. During a Q & A session on Reddit, Cher was
asked if she hates Madonna and replied, "Madge, no. Actually I don't. I
never hated her, I just thought she was a b*tch. Actually I quite respect her.
I think Madge might be one of the most amazing artists I've known. I don't like
everything she does, for sure, but she is always riding the crest of the wave."
Cher continued, "She always saw trends WAY before anyone else, and had
great videos. So, besides saying 'WTF is MDNA,' I'm fine with it."
has revealed that she planned to shock viewers with her MTV VMA
performance. Miley told Rolling Stone, "I know what I'm doing. I
know I'm shocking you. When I'm dressed in that teddy bear thing, I think
that's funny. I was saying yesterday, I had this obsession about this character
that's like an adult baby. Like if you see a baby do something like that, it's
so warped and weird, but there's something creepily hot about it." She
continued, "So when I'm in that teddy bear suit, I'm like a creepy, sexy
baby. But I forget that it's, like, people in Kansas watching the show. That
people sit their kid in front of the TV and are like, 'Oh, an awards show!
Let's watch.'" Miley then said that
she wanted the video for her track, "Wrecking Ball" to be iconic. She
explained, "It's the opposite of the VMAs. It's like the Sinead O'Connor video [for 'Nothing
Compares 2 U'], but, like, the most modern version. I wanted it to be tough but
really pretty -- that's what Sinead did with her hair and everything. The trick
is getting the camera up above you, so it almost looks like you're looking up
at someone and crying."
has opened up about her suicidal thoughts. She explained to Billboard that
her track "By The Grace Of God" shows how tough her divorce with Russell Brand was. She said, "I
asked myself, 'Do I want to endure? Should I continue living?' All the songs
are real-life moments. I can only write autobiographically. I put all the
evidence in the music. I tell my fans if they want to know the real truth about
stuff, just listen to the songs." Katy has said that her boyfriend, John Mayer is a genius. She told the
site, "He literally is a genius, as is evident from his songwriting. I
always tell him, 'Darling, you know I'm going to have to give your mind to
science after you've passed, because we're going to have to understand how all
these sparks work.'"
Modern rock's newest singing sensation, Lorde, has given one of her rare
interviews to the TV show 3rd Degree in her native New Zealand, where
she revealed that she was given the opportunity to open for pop diva Katy Perry on the latter's upcoming
world tour. But Lorde said she declined the offer, adding, "I turn down a
lot of things. I'm a bit picky with what I do and don't do." Pressed
further about turning down Perry, Lorde said, "I think she's really
talented; I just don't think it was quite right for me."
