Katy Perry is expected to have a big sales week according to sales projections. The singer is on pace to sell 290,000 copies of her latest album, Prism, which will earn her the Number One spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It will be the singer's best sales week ever and the best first week sales total by a female performer this year.

Britney Spears really appreciates her fan and their support. The singer penned a heartfelt letter to them on Friday, October 25th via her website. The singer, who also revealed the art work for her new album, Britney Jean, wrote, "We're all so used to getting our thoughts out in 140 characters, but sometimes it's nice to take time to sit down and write something a little longer and more personal." The singer continued, "I am putting the finishing touches on my new album, Britney Jean over the next few days and I am so excited for you to hear it. I poured my heart and soul into this album and it's been an incredible journey . . . I've learned a lot about myself, and as I am finishing, I am reminded of the incredible foundation that has supported me for the last 15 years. Thank you all for continuing to follow me on this journey and for allowing me to do what I love to do." She added, "I can't believe this is my eighth studio album and I know I keep telling you that it is my most personal record yet, but its true and I'm really proud of that . . . I want to show you the different sides of Britney Spears. I am a performer. I am a Mom. I am funny. I am your friend! I am Britney Jean." Britney Jean will be out on December 2nd.

Quincy Jones has sued Michael Jackson's estate -- claiming that they cheated him out of royalties. According to TMZ, Jones has sued Sony Music and MJJ Productions, claiming that he owns part of MJ's albums Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad since he produced them. Jones says that Sony and MJJ came up with a plan to edit and remix the original songs and repackage them into new ventures such as the This Is It movie, the Cirque du Soleil show and the 25th anniversary of the Bad album and deny him royalties. He is asking for $10 million minimum.

The Black Eyed Peas' Fergie and her husband actor, Josh Duhamel, decided to really enjoy the Halloween weekend by attending not one but two Halloween parties. The couple left the young son, Axl Jack, home on Friday, October 25th, when they attended a party sporting Day of the Dead-inspired costumes with skull-like makeup. E! Online reports that Fergie wore 'a black dress with plenty of cleavage and wore a red flower headdress while her hubby wore a sombrero and a black and white jumpsuit featuring bones.' Duhamel captioned a photo of the duo with, "Hasta la muerte," which means until death.

Superstar Miley Cyrus took to Twitter on Saturday, October 26th, to announce that she was going on a world tour next year. The singer tweeted, "I'm gooooing on tooooooour!! #Bangerz2014Tour." She added an emoji kiss icon to the tweet. Just in case her fans missed the tweet, Cyrus crashed Edward Norton's opening monologue on Saturday Night Live to share the news with the NBC show's viewers. She said, "Real quick, I would just like to announce to all my fans, that I'm about to be going on tour."  Cyrus didn't release any tour dates but she did provide a link for fans to sign up to receive a newsletter for additional details as dates are announced.


Chris Brown is in trouble with the law again. According to published reports, the singer and his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, were arrested and charged with felony assault on Sunday morning, October 27th, after an altercation with another male in Washington, DC. According to DC Metro Police Communications Director Gwendolyn Crump, police were called to the W Hotel at 4:25 am ET. The male victim was treated at a local hospital and released.

Ke$ha was scheduled to perform at the Kuala Lumpur stadium in Malaysia on Saturday night, October 26th, but on Friday, October 25th, the country's Ministry of Communications and Multimedia rejected the concert promoter's application on the grounds that the performance could "hurt cultural and religious sensitivities." Livescape, who lost approximately $350,000 due to the cancellation, said in a released statement, "Livescape would also like to go on record to applaud and thank Kesha and her team for working closely with us and having agreed to modify the show to suit the Malaysian culture and sensitivities . . . including having made adjustments to her song lyrics, wardrobe changes, and a set list that was modified to specifically adhere to the guidelines set forth by the authorities."

One Direction fans will be in for a little bit of a surprise when they hear the group's new single, "Story Of My Life." The song, which was released on Friday, October 25th, definitely has more of alternative rock sound than the group's previous single, "Best Song Ever."

Joe Jonas and his model girlfriend, Blanda Eggenschwiler, attended the Dream for Future Africa gala at Spago in Beverly Hills honoring Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani last week. Jonas has been out and about as fans are still waiting to see if the group will work out their differences. The Jonas Brothers canceled a planned tour earlier this month.

Singer Enrique Iglesias recently released the music video for his song, "Heart Attack." In the clip, which was shot in Santa Barbara and El Lay, the Latin star seduces Camille Belle.
