Kanye West has thanked Russell Simmons for seeing his vision despite the constant scrutiny Yeezy receives from the media. Def Jam's founder penned an open letter regarding the rapper via Global Grind, saying, "I recently sat down with Ye in New York and got the chance to hear about his hopes and ambitions, his frustrations and contradictions, his happiness and his anger. But through it all, what I felt from Kanye was an artist who desperately wants to leave his imprint in the history books." Russell went on to say, "What's often times misunderstood about Kanye is that people believe he wants all of this for himself, in fact, quite the opposite, he wants all of this for the rest of us. He wants to destroy the glass ceiling with 808′s and crack music . . . so one day WE have the power to see all of the lights. Certainly he wants a piece for himself everybody would, but at his core, at the bottom of his heart, lies an inner-truth that has led to an external battle to make this world a bit easier for those who have been dealt a hand of struggle, by showing them a glimmer of hope through his art."

I thought that if I was adult enough to get there, then I could party like an adult. And obviously, I couldn't." The singer went on to say that her parents couldn't control her because she was the breadwinner of their household. She explained, "My parents tried to control me, but I'd be like, 'Oh really, I'm grounded? Well, I pay the bills.' They did the best they could. And I think that's why a lot of young stars struggle when they're making money or providing for their family."

She told BANG Showbiz, "It's a great show, but I think for us, there's seven of us ... seven of us getting back together, we're in all in very different places, so [I don't know]. But it's a great show; it's that nostalgia that everyone wants to see." Rachel went on to say, "I loved The Big Reunion and watched all the shows. When they did the tour with them all, I felt a bit emotional watching it because I just thought, how brilliant for them to relive it all. They looked like they were having the best time."
