Regulations Delaying Rebuild of Kilmorey Lodge in Waterton

WATERTON LAKES NATIONAL PARK: Two years after the Kilmorey Lodge burned to the ground in Waterton Lakes National Park, the re-build is still being delayed.

They're looking for slightly more commercial space in the form of a full basement, which the original building did not have, however a freeze on commercial development is holding that up.

The regulations for the park would have to be ammended by parliament, and to that end Kilmorey owner Locklynn Craig has contacted several politicians who are trying to help resolve the issue.

If they get approval by May construction would start this summer, but if it comes any later they would be delayed until the summer of 2012.
