Over $700,000 Coming to Two U-of-L Research Projects
LETHBRIDGE: The federal and provincial governments along with the University of Lethbridge have put over $700,000 into two research groups at the university.
One of the projects will examine how vision and motor control work together in the human body, while the other will examine the fine details of nano-materials.
U-of-L President Mike Mahon explained that the funding support is crucial in helping the institution, as it allows them to bring in state-of-the-art technology, which then attracts some of the top researchers and students from around the world.
Mahon added that in addition to providing a first rate education to students at the university, the research done there furthers everyone by dealing with important issues coming up in Alberta, Canada and the World.
