Collision Near Crowsnest Pass Claims the Life of 48-Year Old Sparwood Man

CROWSNEST PASS: A 48-year old Sparwood man is dead after a collision just West of the Crowsnest Pass Monday morning around 10:30.

Highway 3 was shut down for 5-hours following the collision between a West bound cattle liner and an East bound SUV.

48-year old Jeffery Evans, the driver of the SUV, was killed, while the two occupants and all of the cattle in the tractor trailer were not injured.

An RCMP collision analyst has come down from Calgary, and while there will be an investigation, it's believed that poor visibility caused by blowing snow is to blame for the collision.
