LETHBRIDGE: The city is host to a special synchronized swim meet this weekend.

The U of L is home to the 2011 Michelle Cameron Invitational meet - a unique opportunity for swimmers of all ages to showcase their talents and compete. More than 200 athletes from all over Alberta will  come to Lethbridge this weekend for the event.

Michelle Cameron will be on hand to watch and offer advice. She won gold for Canada in synchronized swimming in 1988. In the seven years leading up to that, she was part of the synchronized swimming team that won six out of eight national championships.

The event runs today and tomorrow a the U of L pool, and is open to the public.
