Tory Caucus Descends On Southern Alberta

Southern Alberta:   Provincial Tory caucus members will be coming out of the woodwork around southern Alberta on Thursday.  Most of the events begin with "meet-and-greets" at 11-am and then move to lunch with various Chamber of Commerce officials and other events in the afternoon. 

   In Fort Macleod, Premeir Ed Stelmach  is expected to join Aboriginal Relations Minister Len Webber and Service Alberta Minsiter Heather Klimchuck at the Senior Citizens' Welcome Mat from 11:00 until noon.  From noon until 3-pm the group will meet with Chambers of Commerce and Rotary clubs from Fort Macleod, Claresholm, Pincher Creek and the Crowsnest Pass at the Fort Macleod Community Hall.  Then at 3:00 ther is a ladowners meeting at the Empress Theatre, which is supposed to be attended by Sustainable Resources Minister Mel Knight.

  In Taber, M-L-A Broyce Jacobs will be with  Infrastructure minister Ray Danyluk and Sustainable Resources Minister Mel Knight, for meetings around the noon hour, where land issues are expected to also be a hot topic. A luncheon runs from 11:00-am until 2:00-pm at the Taber Civic Centre, followed by breakout  discussions with the ministers.

  In Lethbridge, MLA Greg Weadick will accompany Seniors and Community support minsiter Mary Anne Jablonski, Health Minister Gene Swazdesky and former Advanced Education and Technology Minister Doug Horner, for a meeting with the Chamber of Commerce at Anton's.  Some fo the group will attend the opening of Extendicare Fairmont Park and a Seniors meeting at the Norbidge Senior Centre in the afternoon.
