New Appointment For Lethbridge MLA -- Bridget Pastoor
Edmonton: Lethbridge-East M-L-A Bridget Pastoor is now Deputy Leader of the Official Opposition in the Alberta Legislautre. Liberal Leader David Swann made the announcement Tuesday. Edmonton-Centre MLA Laurie Blakeman, who will be seeking the party'sleadership when swann resigns, continues to serve as House Leader.
Pastoor was first elected to the Legislature in 2004 after serving two terms on Lethbridge City Council. She worked in Health Care as a Registered nurse before entering politics. The experience Pastoor's nursing experience is seen as an asset at the party sees fixing health care as its first priority in the Legislature.
