Collision Near Lundbreck Claims Life Of Pincher Creek Man

Lundbreck:  A two-vehicle collision west of Lundbreck at about 8:45 Wednesday morning  claimed the life of a Pincher Creek man.

The collision happened just west of the Crowsnest River, at the bottom of the Lundbreck hill.  A witness indicates an east-bound S-U-V lost control and spun across the lane, where it collided with a west-bound truck.

The truck driver, 53-year old Allen Williams, died at the scene. The driver of the S-U-V was treated for non life threatening injuries at Pincher Creek Hospital and released.

RCMP report that area of Highway-3 was in poor condition with rough packed ice and snow at the time of the collision. Traffic was held up for two-and-a-half hours while police conducted an initial investigation.  That Investigation continues.
