Four Year Old Fraud and Theft Charges Still in Local Court System

LETHBRIDGE: A case that's getting close to four years old has been adjourned again.

Lola Ann Leavitt is accused of stealing more than $217,000 from her employer London Road Market, while working as a cashier. The thefts happened over several years, starting in 2001, and charges were laid in 2007.

Thursday her sentencing was put off because her lawyer stated that she's ill and presented a doctors note.

A new sentencing date will be set March 23rd.
