Coutts:   Canadian Border Officers at Coutts found an extensive cache of weapons in a vehicle crossing into Canada on Monday.

Among the weapons was a 22-calibre collapsible rifle, a restricted 5.56 calibre semi-automatic carbine assault rifle and a 40-calibre handgun. Officers also found ammunition and five prohibited magazine cartridges for the semi-automatice rifle.

American resident, 30-year old Richard Lamarr Packer, faces seven weapons related charges, including failing to make a proper declaration at entry into Canada.  He was turned over to Milk River RCMP and will be in Lethbridge Provincial court on June 27th.
