Lethbridge: If you don't think the new City of Lethbridge website is worth a million bucks -- it isn't.
It turns out, of the more than $1.2 million Council approved for the project, $700,000 has so far been spent on the web site, which is considered phase-one. City Manager Garth Sherwin revealed the remaining $450,000 is now reserved for an internal system open to staff only.
At City Council on Monday, some members of the media were expecting a detailed cost break-down for the project.
Alderman Bridget Mearns asked Sherwin how the money has been spent so far, "So, at that front end that we're talking about, are we talking servers, are we talking soft ware, are we talking people, are we talking all the above?"
Sherwin's response was, "All the above, uh, it's a -- it's a cross-section of those expenses".
That was the City Administration version of a "cost break down".
