Project Homeless Connect Requests Donations For Saturday Event
Lethbridge: The City's Social Housing In Action group is hosting an event to help at-risk and homeless people connect with services.
"Project homeless connect" will offer the homeless a chance to hear financial advice, see a doctor, even get a haircut.
Spokesperson Dianne Randell says this is the fifth such event and the number of people participating in the vent has increased from 100 to more than 400 in that time. According to Randell, "Many of us take a shower or use hand cream without a thought". This is an opportunity to help with basic needs that they may not be able to afford.
