Army Reserve To Train In Lethbridge April 9th and 10th
Lethbridge: If you see soldiers in military gear and carrying rifles in the Coulees over the weekend -- we are not under siege -- they are only practicing.
Soldiers from local Army Reserve units with the 18th Air Defence Regiment and the South Alberta Light Horse will be practicing navigation and patrolling skills as part of their Basic Military Qualification, Land Course.
On Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 6:00-pm and Sunday from 7:00-am until 3:00-pm, about 15-soldiers will be in Indian Battle Park and the coulees below Lethbridge College. The Soldiers will remain on public property and are only training. Regional Police have been made aware of this training exercise.
