Names Released In Motorcycle Double Fatality

Lethbridge:  A fatal motor vehicle collision on the Highway 25 overpass at Highway-3 Sunday afternoon claimed the lives of two Lethbridge residents.

Just after 5:00 an SUV traveling north on Highway-25 slowed down to make a left hand turn onto the Highway 3 merge lane when it collided with a motorcycle traveling south.

Both motorcycle riders, 46 year old Derrin Blais and 45 year old Janet Blais, died at the scene.

A 54-year old Coalhurst man, the lone occupant in the SUV, was wearing a seat belt and not injured. RCMP continue to investigate but state alcohol is not considered a factor.
