Lethbridge: Federal election forums begin this week in the Lethbridge Riding. There are five candidates vying to take over the seat which will be vacated by Conservative M-P Rick Casson. The slate includes Liberal - Michael Cormican; NDP - Mark Sandilands; Conservative - Jim Hillyer; Christian Heritage Party - Geofrey Capp; and for the Green Party - Cailin Bartlett.
All of the following forums begin at 7-pm:
Monday, April 18th, the University Students Union will host an all-candidates forum in the Students Union Ballroom.
Tuesday, April 19th, the Lethbridge Public Library and Southern Alberta Council on Public Affairs jointly host a forum in the Theatre Gallery of the Library Main Branch downtown. There will be a video conference link to the Crossings Branch library in West Lethbridge Centre for this event. Audience members on the west side will be able to pose questions directly to the candidates.
Wednesday, April 20th, a forum is slated for the Picture Butte Community Hall.
Tuesday, April 26th, the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce will host a forum at the Yates Centre with a media panel.
Wednesday, April 27th, the Coaldale and District Chamber of Commerce host a forum at the Coaldale Community Centre.
