RCMP Asking For Information On Motor Cycle Collision Near Monarch
Monarch: A 45-year old Monarch man is in critical condition in a Calgary hospital,
after a single vehicle collision Saturday evening. RCMP want to hear from
anyone who may have witnessed the motorcylce crash.
RCMP, Lethbridge Sheriffs, the Coalhurst Fire Department and Lethbridge EMS
were called out just before 7:00-pm. They found a motor-cylce and its rider in
the clover leaf median between Highway-23 and the Highway 3-A access to Monarch.
The victim was unconscious when found. He was taken to Lethbridge Regional
hospital and then flow by STARS to Foothills hospital in Calgary.
The injured man has been identified as Barry Collison. RCMP indicate he
was wearing a non-approved helmet at the time of the collision and that alcohol
is being investigated as a factor.
