Police Seek Suspect After Golf Club Beating

LETHBRIDGE: An investigation into a brutal beating over the weekend has turned up a lead.

Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a 24-year-old charged in connection with an assault. The charge comes after two men broke into an apartment complex Sunday night, along the 1600 block of Scenic Drive South. They came in through an open patio window and beat the two occupants with a baseball bat and a golf club. The intruders ran away before investigators arrived.

Police say the incident is related to "unresolved issues over a relationship with a female."

Hartwell Murray North Peigan is charged with two counts of housebreaking and commit assault causing bodily harm with a weapon and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
