LETHBRIDGE: The Interfaith Food Bank's asking for your help, as they go after a $100,000 grant under the Pepsi Refresh Project.
If they're awarded the grant the money will go towards the expansion and relocation of the Interfaith Chinook Country Kitchen.
Interfaith Executive Director Danielle McIntyre explained that the kitchen is used to teach participants how to cook healthy meals on a limited budget. They make all the food themselves there with supplies provided by the food bank, and they're able to take the prepared meals home to their families after.
To receive the funding, the Interfaith needs votes as they're in competition with other groups across the country.
You can help out by visiting www.refresheverything.ca and casting your vote. You can also find out more about the grant by checking out www.interfaithfoodbank.ca.
You can vote once a day up until the June 30th deadline.
