Lethbridge Regional Police Investigating Hit-and-Run

Lethbridge:  Regional police are asking for information regarding a pedestrian hit-and-run -- or, for the person involved to come forward voluntarily.

About 8:45 Sunday morning, a 26-year old woman was walking on the roadway of McMaster Blvd west, between the intersections of Whoop-Up Drive and Columbia Blvd. The pedestrian walked into traffic  several times, forcing vehicles to stop or swerve. At one point, the woman was seen on the hood of a vehicle and then slid off onto the road, where she sustained non life-threatening injuries.

The woman driving the vehicle, got out of the car, looked at the pedestrian on the ground and then  left the scene, southbound towards McMaster Blvd.

The vehicle in question is described as a 2000 red Mitsubishi Lancer or similar style car.  Regional Police want to speak with the driver of the vehicle or anyone who witnessed the incident.

If you have information you should contact the Traffic Response unit at 403.327.2210 or Crime Stoppers.
