LETHBRIDGE: The $30-million parkade going up at the Chinook Regional Hospital is running on budget and on time.
Despite cold, wet weather contractors expect to have the parkade ready by early fall.
The cost of the project is being picked up by Alberta Health Services, as the hospital tries to take some pressure off of its neighbours by creating an additional 810 parking spaces.
Hospital Vice President Teri Myhre noted that they're very happy to let those who live around the hospital know that the process is almost over. She explained that they have been very patient, as staff and people visiting the hospital have been parking in front of their homes for several months now.
