Red Crow College Receives Support for New Campus

CARDSTON: Another step has been taken towards building a new campus for Red Crow Community College.

Tamarck Valley Energy has put $20,000 into the project to replace the current facility, which has been ravaged by fire and flooding over the years.

The new campus would focus on combining traditional Blood culture with Western education standards.

Dexter Bruised is a member of the Blood Tribe Council, the Mikai' Sto Foundation (the group that fundraises for the new campus), and Red Crow College. He explained that education is a key piece in improving the state of the Blood Tribe. He noted that it's especially important to have a facility in place that addresses their cultural needs along with the educational ones.

At this point there's no timeline or projected cost for the new facility.
