WATERTON LAKES PARK: As the National Parks system celebrates it's 100th birthday this year,
Waterton Lakes Park officials want feedback on new initiatives.
The Park is
beefing up its volunteer program, where people get involved in
restoration endeavors. Right now they are trying to restore various eco-systems
within the park. They're also looking for ideas on how to connect with
Canadians in the way they celebrate the 100th Anniversary.
On Saturday, June 4th, a meeting will be held from 10:00 until noon at the Park Community Hall, to provide updates on accomplishments last year, projects and events underway this year and plans for the future. Dr. Brian Reeves, Chair of Improvement District #44 will update community initiatives.
A Community forum to follow from 1:00 until 3:00. You have a chance to hear an
up-date at the morning meeting and offer feedback during the afternoon forum. Posted on Friday, June 03, 2011 at 3/8/2014 5:29:19 PM
