Police Charge Local Man After Sports Group Frauded

 
 

LETHBRIDGE: Police have charged a 49-year-old man in connection with a theft from the Southern Alberta Football Officials Association. An investigation by the Lethbridge Regional Economic Crimes Unit revealed the man wrote himself an unauthorized cheque and stole and altered several cheques while he was president of the association - for a total of approximately $4,200. Lethbridge man Dennis Wayne Wickham, 49, is charged with theft under $5,000 and using/uttering forged documents.
