Prison Sentence For Aggravated Assault

LETHBRIDGE:  A seemingly random attack has landed a 31-year-old woman in prison for three years.

Stacy Whiteman plead guilty Tuesday to aggravated assault.

On June 7th, she was at a bar causing a disturbance and asked to leave.  She walked to 13th avenue and Stafford Drive north and entered a home that was not hers.

The only person inside was a 32-year-old man with down syndrome.  Whiteman walked to the kitchen and picked up two knives, then attacked the man stabbing him nine times.  Knife holes were also left in the walls and doors.

On top of the prison sentence, Whiteman must submit a DNA sample and was given a 10-year-firearms prohibition.
