Golf Club Assault Nets Jail Sentence

 
 

LETHBRIDGE: An assault with a golf club has sent a man to jail for one year.

On Tuesday, 24-year-old Hartwell Murray North Peigan plead guilty to break and enter and commit assault with a weapon.

Back on April 24th, North Peigan was drinking at a home with a few people when an argument erupted and North Peigan was asked to leave.

He came back later with a golf club, entered through a second floor balcony, and hit two people inside multiple times.

The victims suffered lacerations and fractures.

North Peigan was ordered to submit a DNA sample, was issued a 10-year-firearms ban, and will spend the next year in jail.
