Rear-end Collision Results In Injuries To Six People And A Fine For One Driver

LETHBRIDGE:   A rear-end collision that tied-up traffic for almost two hours on 43rd Street has resulted in charges against a 62-year old  city man.

The incident happened about 3:20 Thursday afternoon, at the intersection of Crowsnest Trail  and 43rd street.  A school bus rear-ended a mini-van that was stopped for a yellow light. Of the 26-students and nine-adults on the bus, three students were taken to hospital. Three of the six people in the mini van were also taken to the Regional.  All were suffering minor injuries.

Barry Stephen Dobek is charged with following too closely, which carries a $172 penalty upon conviction.
