LETHBRIDGE: A Lethbridge man is facing charges after turning himself into police for internet luring.
27-year-old Chase Teyke showed up at the Police Service front counter around 4:30 on Saturday morning indicating he had communicated with over 15 underage girls over the past three years. He thinks the girls were between 13 and 16 years old. He had been using the fake profile name of "Chad Howard".
Teyke later provided a statement to an investigator from the Southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Unit outlining his behaviour.
Teyke has been charged with accessing child pornography, using a computer to communicate with a person who is under 16 for the purpose of committing a crime, and unlawfully inviting a person under the age of 16 to touch a part of their body.
Teyke has been released on a number of conditions that limit his ability to access the internet and restrict his contact with young people.
He has a court date later this month.
