Lethbridge: Regional Police have charged a 23 year old man after an armed robbery at the 7-11 on 23rd street North Sunday night.
Just after 6:00, the man entered the store while three employees and eight customers were inside. The accused pointed the gun at one of the clerks and demanded the money from the till or he would shoot the clerk.
An employee managed to call police and while all three tills were emptied of money, officers arrived on scene. As police arrived, the suspect continued to point the firearm at clerks and then turned the weapon towards the windows and pointed it at Police outside.
Officers were able to negotiate the man's surrender and no one was injured. The gun was later found to be a modified air pistol.
Tylan Louis Bullshields of Lethbridge made his first appearance in court Monday morning. His case was set over to Thursday.
