Pincher Creek Man Dies In Sparwood Collision

 
 
SPARWOOD: No names have been released but, the victim of a fatal collision near Sparwood Friday afternoon, has been identified as a 78-year old Pincher Creek man.

RCMP confirm the man was driving a pickup that was pulling a 29-foot fifth-wheel which crossed the centre line and struck an oncoming commercial truck. The incident happened on Highway-3, just west of Sparwood on what's known as Finning Hill. 

The victim died at the scene and his wife is in serious condition in a Calgary hospital.
