Lethbridge Fraud Case Facing Extended Delay

LETHBRIDGE: A conflict hearing has been set for December 9th in the fraud case against 63-year old Marisa Campanelli-Pittarelli, 42-year old Anthony Pittarelli, and 36-year old Claudia Pittarelli.

They're accused of running a ponzi scheme that defrauded an investor of more than half a million dollars, through Front Row Tickets of Lethbridge.

The hearing's needed because the three are all represented by the same lawyer, something the Crown feels could lead to problems down the road.

The trio also need to either appear on their own or have a fully retained lawyer appear for them August 31st, as they only had an agent come to court for them Wednesday.

The Crown noted that they will continue to work on resolving the issue with the Pittarelli's and their council, in the hopes that they won't need to wait until December to get the case back on track.
