Health Services Lifts Swim Ban for Milk River

LETHBRIDGE: Alberta Health Services has lifted the swim ban at Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park. AHS banned swimming or wading in that part of Milk River weeks ago after they found levels of fecal matter in the water were too high. After weekly water testing, they found bacteria levels are now "well below maximum acceptable guidelines," and said the water is now safe for use. In an advisory issued Friday morning, AHS promised it will continue to monitor the water with routine testing.
